What do they do?

In charge of the administration side of a set of chambers

Must know court procedures and will develop expertise in the areas in which the chambers specializes.

Have the behind the scenes roles of coordinating workload and meetings, allocating cases, marketing, finance and barristers’ fee management.

For junior barristers’ clerks, duties include taking papers, books and robes to court, delivering urgent documents and making travel plans for barristers.
Where do they work?

In chambers, but they travel around to whichever courts the barristers work in to deliver papers etc.
